Burned-prone, 41 000 Pulled Toshiba Laptop

After Sony, Hewlett-Packard (HP), and several other laptop vendors, Toshiba’s turn now exposed to the issue of ‘fire’. Japanese companies are now pulling their laptop from the circulation of 41 000.

The laptop is taken off the market is kind of T-series satellite, which then circulated in August 2010. Users who have the kind Toshiba Satellite T135, Satellite T135D and Satellite ProT130 must be vigilant. Why?

HotHardware reports, based on Friday (09/03/2010), users shall be alert to the DC input jacks (where the AC adapter is plugged into a laptop power plug body) which can be very hot all a sudden.

The heat is made of plastic materials that exist in the melt jack. Of course this is very dangerous to users when they accidentally touch it.

This problem is much complained of by some consumers Toshiba. The company received 14 reports complaints from Canada, and 129 reports from the United States. Some consumers reported their laptops into heat and smoke because of the plastic melt.

In his statement, Toshiba explained to consumers who experienced the above immediately to report to the nearest Toshiba service.
